Greater Monmouth Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Group's Caring with Karaoke 2015 - Benefiting Daniela's Wish

Event Description:

The Greater Monmouth Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Group and Daniela's Wish will be holding their annual karaoke fundraising event, Caring With Karaoke, on Wednesday, March 25 from 7 p.m. to 11p.m. at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. With proceeds benefiting Daniela's Wish, a NJ nonprofit 501c3, granting wishes to ill children and children that suffered tragedy in our community. The event will include a karaoke contest, a silent auction, live music and various prizes. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door, and include a light buffet and drink ticket.

Karaoke at Paul's Tavern April 19, 2011

Another fun evening of Karaoke at Paul's Tavern in Lake Como, NJ.  The show got started around 6:00 and we finished up around 9:30, I gave it an extra 30 minutes with the huge list of singers.
 Matt kicked the singing off with You May Be Right by Billy Joel, he also sang Hey Tonight by Creedence Clearwater Revival with Tombstone. Tombstone with harmonica belted out a few solo tunes highlighted by Bruce Springsteen's Thunder Road.
We had Tim come up and sing several songs, he slam-dunked Elvis Presley's Suspicious Minds. Lisa was her usual 2 beer start and get the house rocking with several of her own choices.
We can't forget to mention Paddy and the great job he did on Losing My Religion by R.E.M. as well as his encore of Summer Nights with his backup singers Andrea and Erica.
Carol crushed several songs highlighted by The Rose one of Bette Midler's hits.
We had many other great singers like Lee, Cathy, Johnny Mac but one stand out was Diane. She was incredible on every song she tried, songs she sang were Sweet Dreams by Patsy Cline, White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane, Baby I Love You by Aretha, To Sir With Love by Lulu and Crazy by Patsy Cline. She hit it out of the park on every song.
We finished off the night with our bartender Andrea and I singing Last Dance by Donna Summer, that was fun.
We have to give a shout out to Lexi our regular Tuesday night bartender who lost her father to Leukemia. My best goes out to you and your family Lexi.
All in all another great night of Karaoke and look forward to seeing you at our next event, we will be at Paul's every Tuesday night. See you then!

Easter Bunny Party

Saturday morning started off early with a fun Easter Bunny Party for the children and families of the employees at Harrogate.
I got there extra early to set up to DJ, as the guests flowed in and started eating there breakfast I talked to the children to find out what music they liked. I had the usual Disney Radio favorites like Justin Bieber, Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus), Selena Gomez,  Taylor Swift, Big Time Rush and more. Some of the children wanted to hear Paramore, Black Eyed Peas and Usher while the youngest wanted They Might Be Giants doing the theme and Hot Dog song from the Mickey Mouse show.
After eating the Easter Bunny arrived and the children lined up for photos and a chance to sit on the over-sized bunnies lap. The Easter Bunny stayed for a while giving all the children Easter Eggs filled with delicious chocolates.
Following the bunny we played freeze dance and hot potato. As the children lost I gave them each several prizes and allowed them to cut off the music to remove the next child from the activity. I think they liked being a DJ better than the prizes which were bead necklaces, mirror ball necklaces, adjustable multicolored rope bracelets, inflatable guitars, inflatable hammers and more.
The party was over before you knew it, I packed up and received great compliments as usual. (Bragging LOL)
Another event well done and off to the next one!

Karaoke at Paul's Tavern

Paul's Tavern is now offering Karaoke every Tuesday night from 6:00PM to 9:00PM.
Last night was the first night of Karaoke there in over 9 months. DJ Joe Kahwaty is running the show and Lexi is behind the bar.

Paddy the general manager was there for the opening and even took part in the Karaoke festivities. Bartenders Erica and Andrea also sang and danced to the delight of the entire bar.

Some of the fine singers last night were Lisa, Glenn, Tim, Lee and Jim Jamm, all doing a great job of drinking and singing. Alcohol does have some benefits like taking away inhibitions.

We will be back every Tuesday night and expect larger crowds each week, so if you like to sing stop down to Paul's Tavern in Lake Como, NJ.
